Retro Drive In Movies returns with Christmas classics like Elf and Home Alone

The Christmas season is just getting started, and there's exciting news for movie fans as some classics like Elf and Home Alone will be shown on gigantic outdoor cinema screens across Dublin.

Retro Drive In Movies has confirmed that it is coming to Leopardstown on December 3, and Tayto Park in Co Meath on Saturday, December 17. Screened on a huge screen at Leopardstown Racecourse, family festive favourite movies will include Elf, Home Alone, The Polar Express and more.

At Tayto Park, they are screening three family friendly movies The Polar Express, Elf, and Home Alone. Here's everything you need to know about what movies are on, times, and ticket prices.

Where and what's on?

Leopardstown Race Course

Retro Drive In is coming to Leopardstown Race Course running from December 3 to 18. First up is How The Grinch Stole Christmas at 3pm on December 3, followed by Elf at 6pm and Home Alone at 9pm.

On December 4, it's Elf at 4pm, and Love Actually at 9pm. On December 7, there will be a showing of Home Alone at 7:30pm and on December 9 it's Home Alone 2 at 7:30pm and.

December 10 will see screenings of The Polar Express at 3pm, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at 9pm. On December 11 there is Home Alone at 6pm, and Love Actually at 9pm.

On December 15 Elf is on at 7:30pm, and it's also on at 7:30pm the next day Dece,mber 16. Finally, on December 16 it's Santa Clause The Movie at 6pm and It's a Wonderful Life at 9pm.

  • The Polar Express at 2pm on December 17
  • Elf at 5pm on December 17
  • Home Alone at 8pm on December 17

How much does it cost?

Tickets are €30.90 per car (booking fees apply). The food available at Retro Drive In Movies includes popcorn, nachos, sweets, burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks.

Tickets for Retro Drive In Movies are on sale on the organiser's website. As some screenings have now sold out, the organisers have activated waitlists for these screenings, it means you will be notified if tickets become available.
