Retro club night Lets Go Back To The 80's throwing huge Halloween bash at Room 2

It might be November, but Halloween isn’t over quite yet!

The team behind Glasgow’s massive retro night Let’s Go Back To The 80s couldn’t let the spooky season go past without pulling something special out of the witches hat, so don’t put that costume away just yet.

The 1980s is known as a golden age for horror films, so it seems more than appropriate the LGB crew are bringing the era back via their own brand of party-throwing.

Promoter and DJ Bosco, alongside regular partner-in-crime Rob Mason, will be dropping a chilling mix of 80s dancefloor bangers, classic hits and more than a few horror themes when they take over city centre nightclub Room 2 tomorrow night (Saturday November 2) - and it promises to be a night to remember.

Looking ahead to the event, Bosco said: “We really can’t wait for this one. It’s the first time we've done the ‘80s party in Room 2 which is ran by the same team as our resident club La Cheetah.

"The soundsystem in there is off the scale, so you’ll be hearing the brilliant production on all those classic records as they were supposed to be heard.

"Added to that we’ve got so many great 80’s Halloween visuals. Think Nightmare On Elm Street meets The Evil Dead and you’re getting close. There’s going to be some right creepy stuff going up. It’s looking amazing.

"It’s going to be kitsch, fun and creepy, with lots of nods to vampires, zombies and a bit of goth obviously, but all mixed with those 80’s club tracks that have been massive in the club over the last few years. We might through in a few classic horror tracks into the mix, too!"

Organisers are encouraging everyone to dress up as well - with a £50 prize on offer for the best dressed '80's child - although those who just want to come in their usual clubbing gear are welcome too.

Let’s Go Back To The 80s at Halloween is tomorrow (Saturday November 2) at Room 2.
