Retailer demands magazine pays to go on sale

Richard Ingrams, editor of The Oldie, accuses the retailer WH Smith of running a "protection racket" by refusing to stock small-circulation magazines. He says that WH Smith has demanded £2,000 from The Oldie, which sells 25,000 copies an issue, to appear in its stores.
