
Retail sales surged by seven per cent in November helped by Victorians enjoying a full month at the shops, free of coronavirus restrictions.
Seasonally-adjusted data published on Tuesday showed Victoria's retail sales grew by 21 per cent, after many shops were allowed to re-open in late October.
South Australia had little change to its result, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics figures, after a short coronavirus lockdown due to the Parafield cluster.
