A clip of Tammy Hembrow’s sister, Emilee Hembrow, issuing a warning to Matt Zukowski has resurfaced on social media, days after the couple announced their split.
ICYMI, the Aussie influencer pair each took to their social media pages last week to share news of their divorce after just seven months of marriage.
For her part, Tammy said in a TikTok video that she “blame[s] no one but myself” for the break up, while Matt wrote on Instagram that the decision “was not taken lightly”.
In the aftermath, Matt was reportedly caught getting shady with his Instagram comments, after which Hembrow seemingly responded with a series of emotional TikTok videos vaguely referencing the drama.
Now, the fallout from the split has continued, this time courtesy of Emilee’s appearance on Matt’s podcast, Where’s Your Head At, back in 2024.
During the interview, which took place before Matt and Tammy’s Byron Bay wedding in November, Emilee is heard telling her soon-to-be brother-in-law about the seriousness of marriage.
“I just hope you know marriage is a serious thing,” Emilee told Matt in comments that have since aged like milk.
After Matt replied by saying Emilee had “actually said that to me before”, the protective sister doubled-down by advising the Love Island Australia star not to hurt Tammy.
“’I hope you don’t make any mistakes. Like I really pray and hope that you don’t do anything to hurt Tammy,” Emilee said.
Matt went on to assure Emilee that wouldn’t be the case, saying he was “not going to hurt Tammy” and had “no intention of hurting Tammy”.
Naturally, the resurfaced clip has raised a few eyebrows given where the couple are at now, with social media users flocking to a recent TikTok video shared by Emilee to comment on her apparent “intuition” about Matt.
In comments on the video, which sees Emilee and Tammy dancing and lip syncing, the older sister responded to a few users who mentioned how she was “right about these men”.
“That’s why you always listen to the dark haired sister,” one user wrote. “They [are] always right about these men.”
Emilee responded to the comment with two laughing emojis, and elsewhere replied with a heart to a comment saying “a big sister’s intuition is always right”.
Given all the hullabaloo, I half-expect this story to rear its head in the rumoured Kardashians-style reality series reportedly being cooked up by the Hembrow sisters.
