The Central Golden Hall of Kofukuji temple in Nara, which is currently open to the public, is illuminated with red, blue and pink lights on Saturday night. The temple, a World Heritage site, was built in 710. The hall has burned down and undergone reconstruction many times, with a temporary hall built after another fire in 1717. It was recently reconstructed to its original form for the first time in 301 years. The hall will be illuminated from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. until Nov. 11. Visitors will be allowed to enter until 7:15 p.m.
