Restaurants in Whitchurch for vegetarians that you have to try

Bristol is great for its vegetarian food options, but you don’t necessarily have to go into the city centre to find a restaurant with decent meat-free options.

Whitchurch may not have as many as the bustling city centre, but there are some great places on your doorstep that should not be missed.

From jerk bean burgers to veggie curries, Whitchurch has a delightful choice of food places  you are guaranteed to enjoy.

In the spirit of World Vegetarian Day (October 1), Bristol Live have put together some of the tastiest veggie eats Whitchurch has to offer. Perfect if you aren’t a meat-eater, but your friends and family are, check out these places that cater for everyone’s needs...

Crispies

Crispies is located behind Asda in Whitchurch (Google Maps)

Known for it delicious fish and chips, Crispies offer a tasty vegetarian menu which can be enjoyed in their restaurant or as a take away.

The menu includes ‘Vegi Nuggets’, ‘Vegi Sausages’ and ‘Pea Fritters’, but unfortunately can be easily missed. Tucked away behind Asda, Crispies is small but utterly satisfying.

The Yeoman

The Yeoman have a new veggie menu coming this month (The Yeoman)

Although more familiarly known for its freshly grilled steaks, the Yeoman are passionate about cooking up great quality food at great prices, and this sizzling pub has food options for everyone's needs.

Why not start with their ‘Crispy Coated Halloumi Fries’ with sweet chilli dipping sauce and then move forward to their vegan ‘Cauliflower & Sweet Potato Katsu Curry’ which bursts with flavour, served with fresh red onion and tomato salsa.

But if this doesn’t make your mouth water, keep your eyes peeled because there is a new vegetarian and vegan menu coming this month.

Caffe Rosa

Caffe Rosa offer a range of veggie choices (Caffe Rosa)

The Caffe Rosa is situated on Gilda Parade, a location that cannot be missed, and boasts a good reputation for their homemade cakes.

Although the Cafe provides an excellent traditional English Breakfast, don’t be fooled. The staff are fully equipped for veggies and love to cook up a veggie breakfast, poached eggs on toast or sandwiches with a selection of vegetarian fillings.

Toby Carvery

Although situated in Whitchurch Village, the Home to the roast, Toby Carvery, is a favourite for traditional Sunday dinner and a meaty all you can eat breakfast.

But, staff at Toby Carvery are dedicated to providing more choice for the non-meat eaters and thought it was about time that vegetables took centre stage.

They now have their own Vegetarian and Vegan Menu which include some delicious meat-free dishes - Very Vegan Burger, Allotment Pie and Toad in the Hole are all on offer for you to indulge in.
