The inaugural Irish Takeaway Awards winners have been announced and a Dublin eatery has scooped one of the top awards going.
The Awards celebrate the best restaurants and takeaways across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland who have excelled in service and food in the past 12 months.
Categories this year varied from Food Truck to Newcomer to Burger and Family Restaurant of the year.
But it was Cranky Yankee Corn Dogs in Dublin who were the top dogs in the American Takeaway of the Year category.
The travelling food truck gives the people of Dublin the chance to indulge on the All American classic comfort food: the corn dog.
Cranky Yankee say that they wanted to create a place where the precious corn dog took center stage "elevating it from a simple festival food to a meal worth sharing across the globe".
Finding their amazing corn dogs can be difficult considering the only directions they give to their truck on their website is "put your nose to the ground and start sniffing and you'll come across the heavenly aroma that only a corn dog can give: meaty, corny bliss".
But if you're really struggling to find them, they are almost certain to show up at any big Dublin food event like the recent Big Grill Festival for example.
