Restaurant worker is NSW's only COVID-19 case, while Victoria records another day of zero

NSW has reported three new cases of COVID-19 in its latest daily reports, with just one of those cases acquired via community transmission.

The case, found among 8500 tests, is linked to the growing Hoxton Park cluster, which now numbers seven.

The person worked three shifts at Jasmins1 Lebanese restaurant at Liverpool while potentially infectious, NSW Health said.

The department is advising anyone who worked at or attended the restaurant for more than one hour on October 26 and 31, and November 1 to get tested immediately and isolate for a full 14 days from exposure, regardless of the result.

Anyone who attended for less than one hour is considered a casual contact and must monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if they develop.

The restaurant closed on Monday and will remain so until further notice. NSW Health previously reported that cases attended the restaurant while infectious on October 25.

NSW Health is urging anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to get tested, especially people in south-west Sydney areas of West Hoxton, Hoxton Park, Middleton Grange, Horningsea Park, Carnes Hill, Edmondson Park, Denham Court, Prestons, Busby and Miller.

Meantime, Victoria recorded its fourth day of zero cases, with more than 12,000 tests conducted.

There are now a similar number (48 and 49) of active COVID-19 cases in both states, although many of the cases in NSW have come from overseas travellers, while all of Victoria's have been locally acquired.
