Restaurant ranked as best steakhouse in Bristol on TripAdvisor to start delivering

Many restaurants in Bristol have turned to delivery in recent weeks to adapt to strict measures introduced to tackle coronavirus.

The likes of Tapestry Brewery, Poco Tapas and Bertha's have all transformed their business models in order to survive and continue serving people across the city.

And very soon we'll be able to get some of the finest steaks anywhere in the city delivered straight to our door, complete with delicious sides including triple cooked chips and sauces.

Mugshot is ranked as the best steak restaurant in Bristol on TripAdvisor with a five-star rating from 562 reviews since opening on St Nicholas Street in August 2018, with hundreds of visitors praising both the food and service.

Its owners, Adam Bryan and his partner Zowie Yip, do not want to stop the momentum they have built up or lay off employees, so have fine tuned a delivery and takeaway service which they will launch they are "comfortable with the situation".

But first they will deliver food to staff working in the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) free of charge to give them a much-needed boost.

"We want to make sure we're making a difference and helping with the situation before delivering to the general public for profit," said Adam, 41. "We wouldn't feel right doing it otherwise.

"We're in talks with people at the hospital and hope to launch this service very soon. Our staff have very kindly volunteered to deliver the food to the hospital for free.

"Then in a couple of weeks we'll start up the delivery and collection service. We thought about launching it a while back but didn't have the time, so that has been a silver lining of being forced to close due to coronavirus.

"It's quite unusual to get a steak delivered to your door so we're really excited to get it going, while keeping our fingers crossed that the situation improves and things get back to normal soon."

Customers will either be able to order their meal for delivery within a two mile radius of the restaurant, with steaks wrapped in thermal insulated bags to maintain their heat, or collect it from the site with measures in place to ensure safety.

All meat used by Mugshot is supplied by top butchers Ruby & White, while Adam said the majority of the dine-in menu will be available to order for delivery.

Visit Mugshot's website for more information about its delivery service, or check out its Facebook page for the latest updates.
