A popular Bristol restaurant has had to close this weekend.
Bomboloni on Gloucester Road announced via social media that a flood problem has caused them to have to switch off their gas supply.
The venue put out a message on Facebook saying: "We hope to be up and running on Tuesday.
"Thank you for your understanding."
The eatery has gained a reputation as one of Bristol’s most affordable, family-friendly restaurants – without losing an ounce of style.
Main dishes are around the £10 mark but include choices such as pesto gnocchi, linguini carbonara and pizzas.
In March its co-owner and head chef Andrew Griffin, who was was known as a generous restaurateur and a talented cook, sadly died at the age of just 48.
The restaurant has continued to thrive since Andrew's sudden death but the family .
Sara, Andrew's wife who continues to oversee the business, said: "We started Bomboloni as a family business and it has been a huge success.
Flooding has caused several issues this weekend with a number of roads being shut due to the poor weather.
Unfortunately the Met Office says downpours will remain for some time yet.
