Anyone who does the Great North Run deserves absolutely all the rewards that could possibly come their way.

While not on the race route from Newcastle to South Shields, Hollathan's in Chester-le-Street should prove a popular place with participants.
The Front Street venue will be serving up free pizza and pasta for Great North Runners after they've completed the world famous half marathon.
Announcing the deal on their Facebook page, they posted "Come and get your carb overload on us... free pizza & pasta for all great north run runners as a well done from Hollathan’s!!"
All you have to do to claim the free scran is show your 2019 GNR medal any time between Monday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 11.
