The start of the second half of Livingston’s clash with Rangers was delayed after home keeper Max Stryjek was pelted with snowballs.
In bizarre scenes, Livingston’s players did warm-up drills at the side of the pitch while a sole groundsman cleared the synthetic surface of the snow until he was later helped out.
The second 45 minutes was meant to get under way at 1.03pm but didn’t begin until 1.13pm as Sky TV viewers were left to witness unusual pictures.
Along with the rest of the players, Stryjek emerged from the tunnel and ran into his box. But he soon started walking out of it again as Rangers fans playfully threw snowballs into his area.
He complained to referee David Munro who then refused to get the game under way again. Livingston boss Davie Martindale then ran on to pitch as he gestured for his players to come off it.
Police and stewards moved in front of the away supporters as they tried to get the game under way again.
Martindale and opposite number Gio van Bronckhorst were desperate for the match to restart. The score was 1-2 to Rangers at the time thanks to goals from Scott Arfield and Joe Aribo before Bruce Anderson grabbed one back for the home side.
Prior to kick-off, the pitch had to be cleared of snow by a vehicle.
