'Rest in paradise' as man in his 30s dies after being pulled from water

People were left heartbroken after a man in his 30s died after being pulled from Liverpool dock waters.

Emergency services were called to Coburg Wharf at Liverpool Marina just after 9pm yesterday, Sunday, August 29.

Police, paramedics and fire crews scrambled on the area following reports a man was in the water at Coburg Wharf, a section of the waterfront just south of the city centre.

A man in his 30s was pulled out of the water and taken to hospital but sadly died.

His next of kin have been informed.

The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Merseyside Police said in a statement: "We can confirm we were called to Coburg Wharf at Liverpool Marina at just after 9pm last night, Sunday, August 29, following reports of a man in the water.

"The man, who was in his 30s, was removed from the water by emergency crews and taken to hospital but sadly passed away.

"His next of kin have been informed.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
