'Rest easy brother' Heartbroken friends pay tribute to popular man found seriously injured in Perth flat

Tributes have been paid to a popular 22-year-old man who died following an incident at a flat in Perth .

The victim, named locally as Barry Dixon, was rushed to hospital after being found gravely ill in Wallace Court in the Tulloch are of the city early this morning.

Doctors could not save him and he died a short time later.

Barry’s devastated friends have been paying tribute on Facebook .

Danny Black posted: “Rest easy brother, 17 years of friendship I’ll not forget. Thoughts are with all the family.”

Danni Taylor wrote: “Cannot believe this has happened, love you so much.”

Karen Wishart commented: “My thoughts are with all the family at this sad time. Heartbreaking for all.”

Ann Black added: “Rest easy Barry son. Thoughts with family.”

Police said that a 23-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man have been arrested in connection with Barry’s death.

Detective Inspector Gary Winter said that police were called to the property at about 2.30am and found a man with serious injuries.

He said: “Our thoughts at this time are very much with this young man’s family and friends.

“Inquiries are at an early stage but I would like reassurance the local community that this appears to be contained incident with no threat to the wider public.

“There will continue to be police presence at the scene and other addresses in the city whilst we continue to investigate this man’s death.”
