Respawn Entertainment discontinues sales of original Titanfall

Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Apex Legends  and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is no longer selling the original Titanfall  on storefronts.

The announcement to discontinue sales of Titanfall  came Wednesday, in a rather to-the-point statement shared on Respawn’s social media pages.

“We’ve made the decision to discontinue new sales of the original Titanfall  game starting today and we’ll be removing the game from subscription services on March 1, 2022,” Respawn said  on Twitter. “We will, however, be keeping servers live for the dedicated fanbase still playing for those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match.”

Respawn reassured fans that the franchise will live on for now in Titanfall 2  and Apex Legends, while more games in this universe will come in the future. Sad day, for sure, though the studio likely knows what’s best for the series right now.
