A new letting agency has launched in Cleethorpes.
Charlotte Taylor has brought forward Taylors of Lincolnshire, having spent a decade at the helm of the rental arm of Argyle.
The original business had worked within the Sea View Street estate agency, and now it has its own prominent office location in the resort.
“It is really exciting, we moved in March but then had to close almost immediately,” she said of a very brief start to life on Cambridge Street with a four-strong team.
“We have, however, adapted really well, two of the team are still remotely working to enable the social distancing required, and I am working remotely and in the office.
“We have had really good systems in place from the very outset, we have managed to ensure contractors working in properties have the right PPE provision, and all have been acting responsibly.”
Prior to entering the sector Mrs Taylor worked for NatWest, gaining her mortgage qualifications there, before working as a self-employed mortgage adviser.
“The rental market still feels buoyant,” she said of the current position, with almost 200 homes on her books. “We have a really good portfolio of quality properties with good responsible landlords behind them.
“We are a selective agency, we only take on properties we can see are from responsible landlords, and we work really, really hard to build positive relationships with tenants. We have had the occasional difficult conversation, but all of our tenants - even if furloughed - have paid 80 per cent, and you cannot ask any more. They understand the importance of all parties working together.”
