CHANDIGARH: Haryana governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Saturday said he wanted the central and state governments to make efforts to resolve the farmers’ issue at the earliest.
The governor, who interacted with media at Raj Bhavan here, said the solution to any problem was dialogue and this process should be continuous, which is the only way to conclude this issue. “However, this is the issue of Cetre and state and they are working on it,’’ he said.
He added the state was progressive, resourceful and ahead of its counterparts in many aspects. He said emphasis should now be laid on education, health, employment, agriculture, and enhancing skill development .
The governor claimed that he had been regularly updated by CM Manohar Lal Khattar, his cabinet colleagues and officials of the government about each and every development of the state, including issues related to farmers.
Dattatreya also informed that he had advised the state government to ensure only issues of utmost importance and immediacy be brought in ordinances. “ Governor also lauded government efforts during the first and second wave of Covid-19 and the implementation of NEP, state sports policy and Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) scheme.
