Residents urged to vote for Dumbarton park to win prestigious award

Residents still have time to get their votes in for Levengrove Park after it was nominated for a prestigious award.

The Lennox Herald reported last month that the Levenside venue was on the shortlist for the Fields in Trust Best Park 2019 award.

Investment from the National Lottery saw the site transformed with new greenspace, a children’s play area and a pavillion cafe where the improvements have seen it receive national recognition.

MSP Jackie Baillie is one of those calling on residents to get their votes in before the deadline at noon on August 19.

Jackie said: “I am delighted that Levengrove Park has been nominated in the Best Park 2019 award.

“The significant effort which has been put into transforming Levengrove Park has yielded great results.

“Everyone has noticed the transformation and the park has been a great space for local families to enjoy throughout the summer.

“I would encourage everyone to get involved in voting for it.”

Anyone who hasn’t yet voted can do so on www.fieldsintrust.org/best-park.
