New parking zones may soon come into force in one part of Merseyside - meaning only residents would be allowed to park on certain streets.
A number of roads in Bootle are earmarked for proposed parking schemes.
Thirty-five people living on Gonville Road (which connected Hawthorne Road and Cambridge Road) have signed a petition for their parking privileges to be reinstated.
It comes after the introduction of parking area schemes behind Hugh Baird College and in the Wadham Road area.
Back in 2007, people living in the area were asked whether or not they wished to retain their parking - for a £10 per year charge.
At the time, most people called for the scheme to be removed on a permanent basis.
Documents on Sefton Council website say a parking scheme for a larger area - rather than just Gonville Road - should be considered.
Other roads that could see such parking privileges introduced are Georgia Close, May Street, Kara Close, and a section of Hawthorne Road.
The proposed parking project will be decided upon at Sefton Council's licensing committee meeting on Monday (June 17)
The meeting could also see a string of new safety measures introduced at the junction of Manor Road/Sherwood Avenue/Kaigh Avenue in Crosby.
In a bid to address visibility issues, ‘No Waiting/No Loading At Any time’ restrictions are proposed at a number of points in the vicinity of the intersection.
