Residents left 'terrified' after creepy video appears to show man stalking two women in the early hours

Residents fear this 'terrifying' video captures a man stalking two women walking along the road in the early hours.

The footage from Greenway Avenue in Levenshulme appears to show a man crouching behind cars while the young women are oblivious.

The pair, both in bare feet, are chatting to one another as they walk down the pavement and none the wiser that a man is behind them.

He is in the road and appears to be trying to follow them and stay out of sight.

The video ends with the two women walking out of shot and the man still in the road.

A resident shared the footage on social media, saying he is positive the women were being followed.

"Very worrying and predatory behaviour," he added.

Reacting to the video, many said they found it frightening.

"OMG this has given me chills, this is terrifying," wrote one.

"So scary," wrote another.

One viewer did suggest it was possible the man knew the girls and was playing a joke. But others dismissed this theory.

"Looking at the way he's creeping around the cars then heading across the other side he was playing no games," they wrote.

It is believed the incident has not been reported to police, but the Manchester Evening News has shared it with Greater Manchester Police and asked if they are aware of it.
