Residents in Nottinghamshire celebrate win in People's Postcode Lottery

Three lucky residents in Nottinghamshire have won the People's Postcode Lottery.

People living in the Calverton caravan park, just off Moor Lane in Rainbow Road, netted £1,000 each after their NG14 6QS postcode was announced.

The postcode was drawn today (Tuesday, April 21).

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners, saying: "I’m so happy for our winners today, what a lovely surprise for them. I hope they enjoy their winnings."

The draw was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts - including the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust - which operates the Attenborough Nature Reserve.

A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales goes to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of good causes.

Wildlife Trusts have in total received more than £12.6 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

They look after more than 2,300 nature reserves and operate more than 100 visitor and education centres across the country.
