A home has been destroyed by a fire which broke out on Friday morning, with residents fleeing in the nick of time.
Emergency services were called to the Gidjili Place property in Giralang about 11.10am, with ACT Fire and Rescue responding with three fire trucks and an aerial appliance.
"On arrival, the house was fully involved, with flames issuing," ACT Fire and Rescue Commander Adam Garrett said at the scene. "Crews have now extinguished the flames."
Firefighters battled the intense blaze and thick smoke for nearly 30 minutes, bringing it under control and fully extinguishing it by 12.30pm.
All residents escaped unhurt, exiting the single-storey house just minutes before emergency crews arrived, officers at the scene confirmed.
The right side of the home was completely burnt out and suffered a partial roof collapse, while the left side, fitted with rooftop solar panels, remained largely intact.
ACT Policing officers also attended the scene. An investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
