Residents asked to keep eyes peeled for distinctive wallet after robber steals bags and phone from garage in dead of night in Perrystown

Gardai have launched an investigation after two bags, a wallet, and a phone were snatched from inside a garage in the dead of night in south Dublin.

And the owner of the distinctive wallet has issued an emotional appeal for its return.

The incident happened overnight as Wednesday turned into Thursday at a home on Greentrees Road in Perrystown, Dublin 12.

And in a post on a local Facebook group, the owner of the goods taken asked people to keep their eyes peeled for the "Cath Kidston pink spotty wallet".

She added that the wallet contained "sentimental things" that she would love to get back.

Gardai told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary at a house in the Greentrees Road area of Crumlin that occurred overnight between 26/05/2021 – 27/05/2021.

"A number of items were reported stolen.

"Investigations are ongoing."
