ACT Policing detectives have sought witnesses and information regarding a series of aggravated burglaries and attempted burglaries across the ACT on Christmas morning.

Police allege Christmas presents were stolen and residents threatened at knifepoint.

Police believe the same group of teenagers or young men were involved in burglaries and attempted burglaries in Curtin, Isaacs, Fadden and Macarthur between 2am and 5am on Christmas Day.

All the incidents involved between four and eight participants, police said.

A gold Subaru Outback station wagon was allegedly stolen from one home as well as Christmas presents.

Police said the vehicle was then used to travel to other addresses to commit further offences.
