Residential burglaries reported in South Shore

Police are warning South Shore residents after residential burglaries were reported in October and November.

In each case, someone got into the apartments through the front or back doors and stole property from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 1900 block of East 71st Place
  • Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard
  • About 1:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard
  • Between 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 2000 block of East 72nd Street

A description of any suspects wasn’t available, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
