Police are warning Noble Square and West Town residents after a string of residential burglaries reported in September.
In each case, the suspects got in through an unlocked window or broke into the rear door, Chicago police said. They stole computer equipment, backpacks, purses and cash.
The burglaries happened:
- Between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 1500 block of West Thomas Street;
- At 10:20 a.m. Sept. 26 in the 1500 block of West Chestnut Street;
- At 8:15 a.m. Sept. 27 in the 1500 block of West Augusta Boulevard;
- Between 9 p.m. Sept. 28 and 12:25 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 1400 block of West Augusta Boulevard;
- At 2:10 a.m. Sept. 28 in the 900 block of North Noble Street; and
- At 1:01 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 1400 block of West Augusta Boulevard.
Three male suspects were described, police said. One was 18 to 25 years old and 6 feet tall. Another was 25 to 29 years old, 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. A description of the third suspect was not immediately available.
