Residential burglaries reported in Marquette Park, Chicago Lawn: police

Police are warning South Side residents of a series of residential burglaries reported over the last month in Marquette Park and Chicago Lawn.

In each case, someone made their way into a residence and took items from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • About 7 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 6400 block of South Fairfield Avenue
  • About 10:15 a.m. Oct. 14 in the 6400 block of South Francisco Avenue
  • About 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 2600 block of West 63rd Street
  • About 1 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 6300 block of South California Avenue
  • About 3 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 2800 block of West 64th Street
  • About 12:17 a.m. Oct. 30 in the 2800 block of West 64th Street

A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
