Chicago police are warning Lake View residents to lock their doors after a series of residential burglaries were reported in November in the North Side neighborhood.

In all but one instance, the burglars entered the home through an unlocked door, police said. One home was broken into by forcing open a back door.

The burglaries happened:

  • About 8 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 3300 block of North Kenmore Avenue;
  • About 2:20 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 400 block of West Wellington Avenue;
  • About 7 p.m. Nov. 10 in the 3200 block of North Racine Avenue; and
  • Between 8 p.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 3200 block of North Clifton Avenue.

Two men are suspected in the burglaries, police said.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
