Chicago police are warning East Beverly residents to ensure their windows and doors are locked after three residential burglaries were reported in September in the South Side neighborhood.
In each incident, the burglars removed screens and entered homes through an open window, Chicago police said in a community alert. In one burglary, a victim heard movement in the home about 4 a.m. and saw three men running with keys to their vehicle before fleeing in it.
The burglaries happened Sept. 1 in the 1600 block of West 106th Street and twice Sept. 2 in the 1700 block of West Walter Griffin Place and the 10400 block of South Prospect Avenue, police said. All three burglaries happened between midnight and 6 a.m.
Three men in their late teens and early 20s are suspected in the burglaries, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
