Resident of Edinburgh's Bellenden Gardens bags free Scoffable takeaway

It must be tough sometimes living in Bellenden Gardens in the south of Edinburgh.

The "penis shaped" street has been a running joke for a few years now.

Two Scottish brothers who went on a tour of every rudely named place in Britain even chose the street as their starting point.

Takeaway delivery site Scoffable decided to help out locals in a contest earlier this week, offering £30 of food who whoever could prove they lived in Bellenden Gardens - asking "is this the best street name in Scotland?"

They said on Facebook: "We‘re giving away £30 of free takeaway to the first resident who proves they live there."

It wasn't long before Michael Wright claimed the prize, leaving a comment with his driver's licence listing his address.

One person chipped in with "Looks like we have a winner! Ya bellenden" before he hit back saying "been called worse."

It's probably worth the odd joke for the free food.
