A man has been left fuming by a stranger who keeps taking up his paid-for private parking spot - and is now considering having the vehicle towed.
Taking to Reddit, the man explained that he recently moved into a new flat block which he partly chose for the dedicated private parking that comes with it.
Although he doesn't actually have a car at the moment, the resident explained that he wants to keep the space free for when family and friends come to visit, or if he decides to get a car in the future.
However, recently another driver has started constantly using the spot - which is clearly marked for resident use only, the Mirror reports.
And with the stranger - who the man doesn't think lives in the building - hogging the space, bringing family over isn't an option as they'd have nowhere to park their car.
In his post, he said: "So I recently brought an apartment in the centre of a medium-sized city around 6 months ago. One of the reasons why I chose it was because of the dedicated parking.

"It's off the street and private property but there's nothing physically stopping people from parking there.
"Recently, someone has begun parking in my space. I wasn't sure if they were from the same building or not so I put a message on the building group chat (which everyone's in) and no one knew the car.
"Now I don't actually own a car and don't really use the space, but I might one day and when some of my friends/family visit me they drive here and having that space is handy.
"Because of this, I put a note on their car explaining how they're not allowed to park there and should really move. This was a month ago and nothing had changed."
Now, the man has family that wants to visit him, and the car is still blocking his space - so he's planning on reporting it to the company that manages the parking area so he can have the vehicle towed.
He added: "I had some family wanting to visit in a week or so and the car is still there.
"There is a policy where if a car is not registered to a space/building and the owner of the parking space wants it gone then the company managing the parking area can remove the car. Would this be too extreme, or is this justified?"
Commenters on the Reddit post were quick to tell the man that since he pays for the space as part of his rent, he is entitled to use the space however he wants - including keeping it empty.
One person said: "It’s a private parking space that you pay for, you were nice enough to leave a note at first and that didn’t solve the issue. Forcing the person to deal with an impound lot and the associated fees certainly will."
While another added: "Have it towed every time. That’s your space and it doesn’t matter if you use it to park your car or set up a lemonade stand in it."
