Ashley isn’t exactly the survival expert that Leon is in Resident Evil 4 Remake, but she knows her way around a puzzle. She’ll quickly be faced with the Grandfather Clock puzzle, but almost immediately after that is the Mausoleum Lantern puzzle, which you need to compete to get the Salazar Family Isginia.

We’ll tell you everything you need to know about this Chapter 9 puzzle. Plus, if you’re looking for more in Resident Evil 4 Remake, then checkout our guide on how to defeat the Merciless Knight, and where to find the Red9 handgun.

Mausoleum Lantern puzzle explained – RE4R

There are three lanterns involved in this puzzle. One you’ll already have with you, and another two which you’ll pick up for this puzzle. There are three pedestals where you can place these lanterns, each emitting a different pattern – full moon, crescent moon, or star.

On each of the stones, you’ll see a similar pattern, you need to place the right lantern on the right pedestal.

Mausoleum Lantern puzzle solution – RE4R

The lantern you have with you as you enter the room is the full moon, place it around the back.

The one you collect in exchange for your original lantern is the crescent moon, place it to the right of the first lantern.

The final lantern is the star, place that in the remaining slot, unlocking the tomb and letting you take the key item you need to progress.
