When you hit Chapter 13 in Resident Evil 4 Remake, you’ll eventually find yourself in the Incubation Lab. You need to upgrade your keycard to Level 3, but the keycard machine is covered by a panel that can only be removed by a wrench because Leon isn’t very creative. There is one nearby, but it’s not in the most obvious of spots, so we’ll show you how to get it.
How to find the Wrench – RE4R
If you look on the table near the card rewriter then you’ll see a file that tells you the unfortunate location of the wrench you need – inside one of the Regeneradors.
Equip the Biosensor Scope onto one of your guns, perhaps the LE 5 SMG, which you can find nearby. You can then use it to scan the four Regeneradors in the lab to spot which one has swallowed the Wrench.

By scanning each once you’ll eventually see the classic shape of a wrench sitting in one of their stomachs. To get it, you’ll have to smash the tube they’re in and defeat them by killing all of their parasites. Be careful though, as if you smash any of the other tubes, those Regeneradors will awaken and attack you too. However, you might want this, as it will make the later side-request, The Wandering Dead, a little easier.
