While it’s not as complex as other games in the series, Resident Evil 4 has its fair share of herbs. There aren’t any status effects like poison to worry about, but you may find yourself, but if you want healing capabilities on hand, you’ll need to know what combinations to throw together.

Herb types – RE4R
There are just three types of herbs in Resident Evil 4 Remake:
- Green herbs – Heals a small amount of health
- Red herbs – Multiplies the effects of other herbs
- Yellow herbs – Raises your maximum health permanently.
Herb combinations – RE4R
- Green + Green – Restores five sections on your health meter
- Green + Green + Green – Fully restores your health
- Green + Red – Fully restores your health
- Green + Yellow – Restores a small amount of health and raises maximum health
- Green + Red + Yellow – Raises maximum health and fully restores your health
The other main advantage of combining your herbs is that they’ll take up less space in your limited inventory, so it’s always something worth doing. Plus, once your health is at maximum, you can mix Red and Yellow herbs to sell them to the merchant.
