Research from CIES Football Observatory has named Manchester City youngster Phil Foden as the world's most valuable player.
The International Centre for Sports Studies is an independent organisation based in Switzerland that specialises in statistical analysis of footballers and their latest study, which was released on Monday, has valued Foden at €190m euros which equates to £160m.
That means Foden is valued higher than any other player in the world, but how do CIES calculate such research? They use multiple variables when conducting their analysis, considering player's performances, age and inflation of the market, among other factors.
Foden has enjoyed an outstanding season for City and he was made the PFA's Young Player of the Year last week, and the individual award added to his already impressive trophy cabinet, which includes three Premier Leagues, four League Cups and one FA Cup.

Interestingly, CIES ranks the 21-year-old ahead of Manchester United's Mason Greenwood (£153m) and Marcus Rashford (£137m), while there's room for another three City players prominently on the list, with Ferran Torres, Ruben Dias and Berardo Silva all valued highly.
Foden is part of Gareth Southgate's England squad and he could potentially be handed a place in the starting XI at Euro 2020.
