- Four Ukrainian soldiers have been rescued from a hospital deep inside Russian territory after remaining hidden for three years since being wounded in 2022.
- The soldiers were reportedly protected by "sympathetic doctors" in Russian-occupied Ukraine, who helped conceal them from Russian secret services.
- The rescue operation was initiated after a marine, recently exchanged in a prisoner swap, revealed his twin brother was among those hidden.
- The Ukrainian Navy's "Angels" special forces unit carried out the multi-stage evacuation, which also included a marine, three National Guards, and a medical worker.
- The commander of the Ukrainian Navy stated that the "Angels" unit has now rescued 88 people from Russian territory, with the soldiers now safe and reunited with their families.
