Rescue centre's desperate plea for dog groomers after large intake of new residents

An animal rescue centre in Wales has issued an urgent plea for help bathing their dogs after a large intake of new residents.

Many Tears Animal Rescue near Llanelli posted on their Facebook group asking for volunteers to give up a few hours and help wash and groom the animals after a large intake over the last week.

The volunteers need to be over 18 and can turn up any day after 9am to give a hand.

Their post said: “We have had a large number of dogs arrive at the centre this week, all of whom are in desperate need of baths and grooms to help them look and feel their best.

“We are looking for hard working volunteers who would be happy to give up a few hours of their days this week who would like to come down and help us bath and groom these dogs.

“If you would like to volunteer please turn up any day from 9am. At the moment we are only able to accept volunteers over 18.

“Thank you so much for all of your help and support, we are so grateful.”

The post was shared with an image of just some of the dogs who need help freshening up.

Many Tears Animal Rescue based in south Wales home over 3,000 dogs per year, having started in 2004.

It was started after the founder, Sylvia, was desperate to work in a no kill shelter so started her own.

You can find the rescue centre at Many Tears Animal Rescue, Cwmlogin House, Cefneithin, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, SA14 7HB.
