US Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller's wife, Katie Miller, has been involved in another war of words, this time with a Republican Senator from Florida, Ileana Garcia. Responding to the podcaster's X statement, Garcia posted a fiery tweet on X, slamming her for calling her then-boyfriend 'racist' and causing 'leaks' in the White House, along with other claims.
The brawl began after Garcia, co-founder of 'Latinas for Trump', a national organisation, claimed that the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis was "abhorrent" and would affect Trump's midterm election results. "I do think that he will lose the midterms because of Stephen Miller," she added.
Katie Miller, wife of Trump's trusted security advisor and former Department of Homeland Security spokesperson and White House aide, then took to X to take a dig at Garcia, claiming: "Ileana was fired from DHS in Trump’s first term because she failed to show up to work.”
Ileana Garcia hits back
Garcia, a Cuban American who has been a Trump supporter since 2016, tagged Miller's post and wrote a scathing remark to the conservative podcaster. She asked Miller to invite her to her podcast so they could have a "candid conversation" about "what truly transpired," during Trump's first term.
She claimed Miller labelled her then-boyfriend (Stephen Miller), "a racist" when she was upset with the way he treated her poorly. Garcia upped the stake with adding that the 34-year-old was responsible "for the leaks in the White House" and helped "carve the floor out from under then-Secretary Kirsten Nielsen."
"Invite me to your podcast so we can have a candid discussion about what truly transpired and how you labelled your then-boyfriend a racist when you were upset that he treated you poorly and me as a mere token Hispanic for the administration. Let’s discuss who was responsible for the leaks in the White House, and how you helped carve the floor out from under then-Secretary Kirsten Nielsen," wrote Garcia, a former Spanish-language media worker.

She previously worked as DHS's first female Hispanic deputy press secretary during Trump's first term, selling his immigration agenda to the Latino population. She worked under Kirstjen Nielsen, then Homeland Secretary. She was forced out following clashes with the President and Stephen Miller.
As for the MAGA couple, Katie Waldman and Stephen Miller were introduced in spring 2018 and were engaged in late 2019 before tying the knot in 2020 at the Trump Hotel in Washington.
Garcia's comments arrive in a climate of deep unrest and protests against the Trump administration due to the killing of two Minneapolis residents in January 2026 and other brutalities carried out by the ICE agents present in Minnesota.Republican senator explodes at Katie Miller, claims she called husband ‘racist’ and sparked 'White House leaks'
