The suspect who allegedly shot right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk has been identified by authorities and despite Donald Trump and others pointing the finger at radical leftists there is no evidence that the suspect was a Democrat.
22-year-old Utah resident, Tyler Robinson, has been named as the individual who is suspected to have fired the shot that killed Charlie Kirk. According to NBC News, Robinson was identified and arrested by investigating officers after analyzing surveillance footage, interviewing the suspect’s family and reviewing online messages between him and his roommate.
While the details about Robinson’s motives and who this guy is have yet to be made public online netizens have already made some observations of their own. “Not Black. Not Trans. Not Muslim. Not an Immigrant. Not a Democrat.” wrote one person, before going on to say that Robinson was “A white Christian, Conservative, Republican male with a gun… again.”

It’s important to note that Robinson’s political affiliation has yet to be confirmed. According to NBC News, his last voter registration date was on July 13, 2021, and was listed as “none declared.” Regardless, many still believe that there is enough evidence to suggest that he may lean more towards being a Republican.
The response online was fast
The X account “Call to Activism” listed the facts that we know so far, these include the fact that his father is a retired sheriff, he’s white, Mormon, was raised with guns, and wore a Trump costume for Halloween.

Whatever the case, it certainly doesn’t seem like he’s the radical leftist that Trump and MAGA so desperately wanted him to be and despite claims from people like Kirk who would have argued gun crime is more prevalent amongst minorities, Robinson is very clearly white.
Another person on X pointed out that his family are registered Republicans, adding, “Tyler Robinson and his family don’t look like trans liberals to me.” In fact, most of the comments online were pointing out how Robinson is so far removed from the image of a far left, trans liberal assassin.
“Tyler Robinson is a slap in the face to all the angry right-wingers who wanted the shooter to be a trans immigrant blue-haired liberal” wrote another person on X. A third added that he had a “stereotypical All-American” upbringing, concluding “It’s the guns.”
Kirk had been responding to a question about trans shooters moments before being shot. His anti-trans, right-wing rhetoric led many to assume that his killer had to have been someone who opposed his views. The thing is Robinson just doesn’t fit that bill. While MAGA don’t want to admit it, the problem may well be the guns and not the radical leftists.
