Republic of Ireland v Portugal tickets: How to purchase tickets for the World Cup qualifier

Tickets go on general sale on Tuesday morning for the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Portugal.

Stephen Kenny's side welcome Cristiano Ronaldo and co to Dublin just over two months after almost pulling off a shock win against them in the Algarve.

A headed effort from John Egan just before half-time gave Ireland an unexpected lead against the Euro 2016 winners, but two late goals from Ronaldo, the second of which came in the 96th minute, ultimately gave Fernando Santos' side victory.

Portugal are on course to top Group A as they battle it out with Serbia for top spot, while Ireland's hopes of qualifying for the World Cup ended quite some time ago.

But a 3-0 win away to Azerbaijan followed by a 4-0 victory over Qatar has given the Boys in Green a boost and a huge crowd is expected at the Aviva Stadium for the Portugal clash.

It will be the first time that the Aviva will be at full capacity for an Ireland game since pre-Covid.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday and can be purchased here.
