Republic of Ireland squad v Slovakia: The 23 men selected by Stephen Kenny

The Republic of Ireland are in Euro 2020 play-off semi-final action tonight when they face Slovakia in Bratislava.

Stephen Kenny has named a 23-man squad for the clash, with Kevin Long and Josh Cullen cut from the larger 25-man squad.

Jack Byrne could become the first League of Ireland player in 35 years to play in a senior competitive match for Ireland, while Kenny is expected to go with a 4-3-3 formation for tonight's game.

Here's the squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Darren Randolph (West Ham United), Caoimhin Kelleher (Liverpool), Mark Travers (Bournemouth).

Defenders: Matt Doherty (Tottenham Hotspur), Enda Stevens (Sheffield United), Shane Duffy (Celtic, on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion), John Egan (Sheffield United), Derrick Williams (Blackburn Rovers), Cyrus Christie (Nottingham Forest, on loan from Fulham).

Midfielders: Conor Hourihane (Aston Villa), James McCarthy (Crystal Palace), Jeff Hendrick (Newcastle United), Alan Browne (Preston North End), Jayson Molumby (Brighton & Hove Albion), Jack Byrne (Shamrock Rovers), Robbie Brady (Burnley).

Forwards: Callum Robinson (West Bromwich Albion), Callum O’Dowda (Bristol City), James McClean (Stoke City), Aaron Connolly (Brighton & Hove Albion), David McGoldrick (Sheffield United), Adam Idah (Norwich City), Shane Long (Southampton).
