Republic of Ireland's Nations League games rescheduled by Uefa

UEFA has today rescheduled four of Ireland’s Nations League games in October and November.

European football’s governing body was forced to rejig the international calendar because of the Covid pandemic.

Ireland’s game at home to Wales has been pushed back 24 hours and will now be played on Sunday, October 11 (2.00pm)

That is because Ireland will be in Slovakia for the Euro 2020 playoff semi-final against Slovakia on Thursday, October 8.

The final game in the October triple header is away to Finland which is now set for Wednesday, October 14 (5.00pm).

The Euro 2020 playoff final is on Thursday, November 12 so Ireland’s trip to Wales has been pushed back 48 hours to Sunday, November 15 (5.00pm).

And the final Nations League group game will be at home to Bulgaria on Wednesday, November 18.

The opening double-header of the competition goes ahead in September as originally scheduled.

Stephen Kenny’s first game as senior boss will be in Bulgaria on Thursday, September 3 (7.45pm) before hosting Finland at Aviva Stadium on Sunday September 6 (5.00pm).
