Republic of Ireland international Stephen Quinn says coronavirus pandemic has changed his perception on life

Stephen Quinn has revealed the coronavirus pandemic has changed his perception on life.

The Republic of Ireland international 's wife Vanessa is working as a nurse in a coronavirus ward for the NHS.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the Burton Albion player said: "She's in a Covid ward. It's nor her normal field obviously. It's been a bit worrying, the level of danger the virus brings but it's been a natural progression for her.

"She's followed my career all these years so as a family now we're just here to support her."

Quinn believes life is going to be very different after Covid-19 and admits he has sympathy for those tasked with trying to resume football.

He added: "I don't envy the FA or the government officials trying to sort this out. It's difficult because it's changing by the week.

"I think life is going to be completely different, not just football, when everything resumes with social distancing and everything like that.

"It's definitely changed my perspective on life."
