People in Wishaw are being asked to be mindful of who they are letting into their homes after reports of bogus workmen.
There have been a number of reports of bogus callers visiting addresses across the town and Police have begun investigating.
People are asked to be mindful of home and personal safety and to not open their door to anyone who they are not expecting.
Residents are also being reminded to always ask for ID of anyone attending as an official to their home and to also look out for neighbours.
If you spot any suspicious activity or if you think you or someone you know has been the victim of doorstep crime please contact police on 101 to report it.
