Police were at the Port of Liverpool complex this morning after reports of a body being washed up at the site.
Emergency services were called to Gladstone Dock on Shore Road, Bootle , shortly before 10.30am.
Unconfirmed reports said a body had been washed up at the complex owned by Peel Ports , and the scene was taped off.
A spokesperson for Peel Ports confirmed police had sealed off the area after being alerted this morning, but could not confirm that a body had been found.
