There are reports of armed police descending on a Liverpool road this evening after an incident.
Images and videos show a heavy police presence outside the Go Local Extra store in Hale Road, Walton.
It is not currently clear what has taken place tonight - but a large area of Hale Road and the nearby Carrisbrooke Road remain cordoned off.

Our reporter at the scene tonight says there is still a heavy police presence involved.
There were reports that armed officers were on the scene earlier, but this has not been confirmed.
There are no armed officers currently at the site - but an ambulance is present within the cordon.

The cordon is currently blocking off a section of Hale Road between its junctions with Carisbooke Road and Roxburgh Street.
Our reporter said there is also a damaged Delta taxi within the cordon - but it is not clear if this is linked to tonight's incident.
Merseyside Police are yet to release a statement about what has happened.
