Reporters no match for a celebrity baby

The Washington Post's Richard Cohen notes that Time Inc. paid a reputed $4m for pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's baby. Yet the same organisation said it could no longer afford investigative reporters Donald Barlett and James Steele. Cohen writes: "We're talking here about a pair of reporters who have had a best-selling book and who have been honoured with two Pulitzer prizes". And he guesses that the money spent on the baby pix would pay for about 10 more years of salary and expenses for the axed reporters. (Via washingtonpost.com)
