Robert Tur, a reporter and owner of the Los Angeles News Service, is suing YouTube, alleging that the video file-sharing site is airing his copyrighted footage. Specifically, he claims copyright to the film which showed the beating of Reginald Denny during the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Tur is claiming $150,000 (£82,000) for each uploaded submission and will also base his complaint on the number of hits each attracts. He does not intend to go after the people posting the video, only YouTube. (Via informationweek.com)
