A number of shocking break-ins have been reported to have taken place in the last few days including one which saw a family have their house broken into while their kids lay fast asleep.
One property was broken into in Seapark in Malahide on Thursday morning just after 9am.
The resident warned other locals to be "extra vigilant with keeping their doors and windows locked".

A spokesman for the Gardai told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating a suspected burglary that occurred at a house in Malahide, Co Dublin at approximately 9.30am on 16 May."
They added: "There was some damage to the interior of the premises and it is unclear at this time if anything was taken. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
Sadly this wasn't the only reported break-in in the northside village with another alleged to have happened in nearby Bawn Grove.

The mother of the family explained her horror of finding out that thieves broke into her house without making a sound while her family were fast asleep.
The thieves were said to have gained access to the inside of the house "in the middle of the night while we were all asleep".
She added that the incident was carried out by "stealthy robbers" who targeted the downstairs area of the house.

She said: "They used a crow bar through the front door. It was a very neat job. My husband and three kids were asleep at the time and no one heard a thing. Car is gone along with the computer and other stuff."
It is not known if the two break-ins in the area are linked.
This comes in the same week that seaside village Portmarnock was rocked by a series of burglaries over the past ten days as a number of break-ins and car thefts were reported.

Local Labour Councillor Brian McDonagh has called on everyone to be extra vigilant.
The Strandmill resident warned that the car thieves may be professionals who are looking to export to export them
He told Dublin Live: "This is not the first time there have been spates of robberies over the years.

"They're targeting new cars and going into houses to get the keys.
"They used to previously fish through the letterboxes, and now they're breaking in which is worrying.
"We've called for targeted action against these groups. We need to try ensure guards grab gangs doing it.
"These aren't amateurs, these are criminals going for specific types of cars and people are frightened.

"Every time it happens we go to gardai. We need to make sure our houses are secure.
"People need to be aware, guards are having some success.
"This is 'steal to order' and we need to target who and where they are exporting from.
"The business model needs to be made unsustainable."
